The Midwest Climate Adaptation Science Center has had a busy first year since our launch in September 2021. We worked to establish the processes by which we will execute our mission and main objectives: partnerships, capacity building, science, and communications. We engaged 60 graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, supported 27 research projects, established communications platforms, and hosted several events, including a visit from U.S. Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland and our first Annual Gathering!
