Born and raised in the beautiful U.S. Virgin Islands, Kaylin has always been passionate about research and conservation work for invasive and native aquatic species. Kaylin joined the Larson Lab in the fall of 2025 to work with the invasive rusty crayfish found in the lakes of the Midwest United States. She received her bachelor’s degree in 2025 from Hollins University in Roanoke, VA, where she studied biology and public health. In the future, Kaylin hopes to continue pursuing conservation research, with the goal of one day helping to prevent, maintain, and restore aquatic environments affected by anthropogenic impacts resulting from human activity.
