Postdoctoral researcher Diele Lobo of the University of Minnesota will present findings from the MW CASC synthesis research project she led investigating planned climate adaptation actions in sectors related to natural and cultural resource management and conservation in the Midwest region.

This is a hybrid event. The seminar will be held in-person at the Institute on the Environment on the University of Minnesota's Saint Paul campus and live streamed via Zoom. Register to receive details.

Diele Lobo, University of Minnesota 

Diele is a conservation scientist with expertise in the social dimensions of natural resource management and conservation. Diele’s expertise pulls from the fields of climate adaptation, conservation planning, organizational studies, research synthesis, and data science, and her research aims to deliver new understandings and actionable insights that address biodiversity and climate challenges. This includes researching and advocating for disciplinary and social diversity and inclusion in the environmental sciences. As a result, Diele’s work is highly interdisciplinary, bringing together the natural and social sciences and bridging the gap between science, practice, and policy. 

As an Institute on the Environment Postdoctoral Fellow, she collaborates with researchers and practitioners associated with the Midwest Climate Adaptation Science Center to examine climate adaptation practices in the Midwest region, with a focus on natural resource management sectors. She also applies her data science and data management expertise to support various research projects within IonE.
