Research Assistant, Institute on the Environment, University of Minnesota
Sarah Anderson (she/her) is a Research Assistant for the Midwest Climate Adaptation Science Center (MW CASC) and the Institute on the Environment (IonE). In this role, she supports MW CASC research projects and activities alongside a network of scientists, staff, postdoctoral scholars, and partners seeking to help fish, wildlife, water, land, and people in the Midwest adapt to a changing climate.
Sarah has spent time working locally at an environmental education NGO in Minneapolis, MN, abroad in the Netherlands at Naturalis Biodiversity Center (a Dutch research institute and natural history museum), and in the field at Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve. Through these roles, she’s gained experience in partnership building, project coordination, grant writing, and synthesis research. She holds B.A.'s in Biology and Environmental Studies from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN and a Master’s (M.P.S.) in Horticulture from the University of Minnesota.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys traveling, arts and crafts (including, but not limited to sewing, crop art for the MN State Fair, and pottery), running and biking, and gardening.
