We are awash in climate data, making it overwhelming and time-intensive to identify locally relevant climate adaptation strategies. By distilling the ocean of climate insights to a single region we can support clear and science-based climate strategies. On the MW CASC's January 26 seminar, Sam Reed will explore:

  • A MW CASC project that reviewed State Forest Action Plans to identify state adaptation strategies to climate-driven disturbance regimes, such as wildfires and insect outbreaks.
  • Friends of the Boundary Waters' upcoming systematic review of climate research in the Quetico-Superior ecosystem.

You will leave with an understanding of upcoming tools and resources you can use to make climate-smart decisions without getting lost in the data.

This is a hybrid event. Register to attend via Zoom or join in person at the UMN Institute on the Environment's Commons (Room 350).
