The Midwest Climate Adaptation Science Center's 2026 Summer Science Symposium will take place August 3-6 at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.

We have several sessions designed with students and early career researchers in mind (but all are welcome to participate if interested!):

  • Navigating Early Career Pathways - Lunchtime Workshop on Wednesday, August 5. Join Dr. Caleb O’Brien, social science program coordinator at the Missouri Department of Conservation, for a workshop discussion on navigating early career pathways. A boxed lunch will be provided to those who RSVP.
  • Research Poster Session - Wednesday, August 5. Share your climate adaptation research with the MW CASC community. Light snacks will be provided. The deadline to submit a research poster has passed.
  • Natural Resources Career Panel - Evening Event on Wednesday, August 5. Join us for a career panel on Wednesday evening featuring MW CASC scientists from academia, government, and non-profit sectors. Light snacks will be provided.
