Are you looking for ways to more effectively communicate about climate change in today’s complex information landscape?

Join the Midwest Climate Adaptation Science Center for an interactive virtual training focused on communication skills. Participants will explore how to identify and understand their audiences, develop clear and compelling messages, combat misinformation, and design effective public engagement strategies.

Jessica Rudnick, Climate Resilience Specialist at the University of Illinois Extension, and Caleb O'Brien, Social Science Program Supervisor at the Missouri Department of Conservation, will share the do’s and don'ts of effective communication and engagement around climate change. Their presentations will be grounded in real world experience and research based best practices. Attendees will also get the chance to practice what they have learned in hands-on activities.

This training is designed for climate adaptation researchers and practitioners in the Midwest region.
