July Science Seminar: Climate-Ready Woodlands

Date and Time
July 22, 2024, 12:00 pm CDT

As our climate changes, woodland stewards will need to employ climate-adaptation management strategies in order to keep their forests healthy. To meet this need, the University of Minnesota Extension has new lists of recommended tree and plant species that can help forests remain healthy and productive.

In the Midwest Climate Adaptation Science Center's July Science Seminar, Anna Stockstad, a University of Minnesota Extension Forester, will share how these lists were developed, the criteria each species meets, and how these lists are being used by woodland stewards in the region.
